Devon Coast Links Championship 2026

2nd–4th September 2026 — 54 Hole Championship

This three-day championship is played over three of Britain’s finest links courses in North Devon, bringing together classic seaside layouts for a 54-hole contest across consecutive days.

Royal North Devon Golf Club (Day 1)

Royal North Devon, located at Westward Ho!, is one of England’s most historic links. The championship course dates back to the 19th century and retains its traditional links character, with undulating fairways and coastal winds that test shot making and course management.

Saunton Golf Club — West Course (Day 2)

Saunton West is a classic links layout that provides a strategic, shorter test compared with its sister course. The course features firm, undulating fairways and imaginative bunkering; wind and ground play are central to scoring, making it a demanding championship venue in varying weather.

Saunton Golf Club — East Course (Day 3)

Saunton East is the club’s longer championship course and is celebrated for its collection of dramatic holes, sweeping dunes and big seaside views. It requires length off the tee and precise approach shots to navigate the well-protected greens and natural dune contours.

Event Format and Practical Info

The event runs across three consecutive days — Wednesday 2nd, Thursday 3rd and Friday 4th September 2026 — with one round played at each course. Players compete over 54 holes in stroke play format. Entry and event details (fees, tee times, presentation dinner arrangements) are published by the event organiser.

Why These Courses?

Together, Royal North Devon and Saunton’s East and West courses showcase North Devon’s classic links heritage: historic architecture, coastal dunes, windy conditions and a variety of strategic tests that reward creativity, ground game and links golf skills.
