Over the years, I’ve been fortunate to organise events at some of the most iconic golf courses in the world. Time and again, players tell me their all-time favourite is the spectacular Kingsbarns, while the legendary Carnoustie remains the ultimate test of golfing skill. Having played both, I can only agree—these are courses every golfer should experience at least once in their lifetime.

A Modern Classic Joins the Line-Up

In 2027, the line-up reached new heights with the addition of Dumbarnie Links, one of the world’s finest modern courses. From the very first event, the feedback from players was incredible. Dumbarnie blends breathtaking scenery with a championship-quality layout that is both enjoyable and demanding—a true modern masterpiece now standing proudly alongside the historic giants.

Championship Experience

This year, I’m thrilled to once again offer golfers the rare chance to compete across these three world-class venues in full Championship conditions.

I’m pleased to share details of next year’s Kingsbarns & Dumbarnie Coast Links Championship below. I had the opportunity to play Dumbarnie Links during last month’s event, and it is truly an outstanding layout, definitely in my Top 10 Courses I have played, offering multiple ways to approach each hole. The feedback from players was excellent, and we’re delighted that competitors will have the chance to play this superb venue twice in 2027.

As always, Kingsbarns Golf Links received exceptional praise, with several players describing it as best course they have played, and one of the finest courses in the world — making this an event not to miss.

In addition to the Championship, players will also have the opportunity to play Downfield Golf Club, widely regarded as one of Dundee’s finest courses, in an optional 18-hole Stableford the day prior to the event at a preferential rate.

I’ve been on three of Sean’s events in recent years, firstly the Southport links and most recently the Dubai event in November 2025, which was a fantastic week at some excellent courses – the Earth course being the highlight of the week. Seeing some of the best in the world at the final day of the race to Dubai was a real treat.

The events are really well organised by Sean and Ali and the courses are exceptional, at rates that can’t be beaten. Looking forward to the tournament in Aberdeen later this year and many thanks for all your hard work in the lead up to and during the events.
